Your male is upset at the different cage, not because he misses the female. Any changes in his territory will upset him temporarily. You should NOT be keeping these two together! Separate them! Just make sure the male's cage is the same temp, humidity and lighting that he's used to. That will help him settle down. You will need to make sure the two can't see each other...especially now that the female may be gravid. She will be very easily stressed seeing the male or other pets. You will also need to read up on how to care for a gravid female and prepare an egg laying bin for her when the time comes.
