i had a similar problem with my carpet. she went for what seemed like forever without eating after i fed a larger than normal sized meal to her. turns out she had a blockage and i ended up having to soak her in the tub daily getting bits and pieces of it out of her. i now feed her small to medium sized rats to prevent anymore blockages. she can swallow a large rat very easily, but she cant push it out. that may be what your problem is.
