I took a brief look and this is what I think (although it's been awhile since I studied this subject) The "n" value is 17, meaning the data was gathered from 17 animals. and using a proximate analysis, it's possible that the numbers averaged in a manner that makes the total more or less than 100%. To get an "as fed" approximation, multiply the crude value x moisture content and divide by 100.
