While I am happy that she is well, it is my understanding that you do not know her history other than being unkept? I would recommend a much longer quarantine period. 6 months minimal for any boa that has shown illness before, and a year for those that are persistantly sick. While she has pulled through this, perhaps she was immunocompromised from being an asymptomatic carrier of a disease such as IBD. While poor husbandry is a more likely culprit, if this snake gets sick again with proper husbandry, and/or has future regurgitation than IBD becomes more suspect. The long quarantine times are to monitor for these "poor-doers" prior to entering a collection. [ Hide Replies ]
