I would recommend a much longer quarantine period. 6 months minimal for any boa that has shown illness before, and a year for those that are persistantly sick. While she has pulled through this, perhaps she was immunocompromised from being an asymptomatic carrier of a disease such as IBD. While poor husbandry is a more likely culprit, if this snake gets sick again with proper husbandry, and/or has future regurgitation than IBD becomes more suspect. The long quarantine times are to monitor for these "poor-doers" prior to entering a collection.

Yea,She definatley awoke me up!I had dealt with mites,R/I infections an all,Them were easy to take care of,Even a very emansipated boa once,But never nothing this awfull!Ididnt know what to do for her an had no help from vets in my area period!So if it wasn't for the help from people on here,well she probably wouldnt be here right now!I reckin it was meant to happen to me sooner or later with having to get the cheaper animals due to my income!The sad thing about it though is with the money I have spent on treating some of the animals I have had to treat I could have done had an albino or some other morph!But it's not the boa's fault she had a ruff life!I think the most confusing part of mt journey in knowledge of boa's is that I know what the propper temps an humidity an enviroment a boa should be in,An this is the confusing part,You take an animals that has been treated badly with improper husbandry an feedings an it was strong enough to make it into adulthood an you try to give it the propper enviroment that he/she should have been in since day 1 an they get sick from that!Now thats confusing!Well thats another intersting subject but I have ramled on enough Sorry!Thanks again,Eric[Hypoboa]
