Well, no matter what the "Field Guide ..." says, I believe that the DFG regulations are going to supercede. California has gone through some major regulation changes in the last ten years or so, in reference to herps. A book cannot keep up with all of the regulation changes in all of the states unless they are updated yearly. Is this an updated book that you are talking about?
