So many threads recently with a similar theme; snakes don't always read the book.
If you have seen an unquestionable ovulation then you should get something down the line. I have misjudged ovulations before but once I have seen a true ovulation there have always been sluggs or babies.
Regarding the POS I have had several snakes in the past few years do no shed at all. I have discussed this with other breeders and they have had similar results. If you go back to Ronne's paper he referred to the 105 days but also mentioned the 120 days from a definite ovulation to birth. I have found this number to be fairly accurate in my animals. The other new pattern I have seen is that my females shed at about 80 days.
Every room is different. I keep my gravid femles with a constant available hot spot of about 92 and they always deliver before 105 days. I had one litter last year at 94 days and all of the babies did well.
I also can't think of a single time when I have seen a definite copulation like your picture without getting sluggs or babies.
Best of luck to you. I think this is a good project which I will probably be getting into later this year.
