Hi,
It was me that has the rodent waterer for my cham. In fact, I just got a new one and didn't bend the end and I've seen Clide drink from it several times. I think the trick is to start off with one that's bent/damaged so the water drips out and the cham can see it on the end. It doesn't take much to bend just give the metal tube a squeeze so the little ball doesn't fit flush in the end.
One thing I discovered is that I can't move it to a different spot. I tried that once and it totally messed him up; he didn't drink/couldn't figure out where the water went (luckily I spray him a lot anyway so he was okay).
I like that I don't have to worry about him getting enough water and I can also tell how much he's drinking by the water level. I clean the container regularly and bleach it every so often so it ensures that he's getting clean water as well. Sometimes when I spray him I wonder about him drinking water that's dripping down from the leaves through a turd or two that I may have missed picking up, yuck!.
If you have any other questions just let me know.
Btw, Lele, I'm rooting for Luna too. I hope everything goes okay. This certainly isn't a result of poor care, you're one of the most conscientious owners here.
