Sorry, I'd have to say the common garter snake is the most underrated---look how many people get "introduced" to snakes through them(whether at some type of show or simply seeing one in their backyard). A garter snake was the first snake I ever saw(at least that I knew what it was)-and even after pythons ,boas and a rattlesnake I still am fascinated when I see a garter snake going across the yard, or a road.
