enjoy that little story. We were talking during their visit, and my friends told us about the time they took their boa to a local elementary school. They found that the really young children were unafraid of snakes, and in fact, were fascinated by them, touching them without hesitation. However, when they did presentations to the older kids, they saw more fear and reluctance to come up close and touch the boa. What a good example of how children's minds are molded by their surroundings (and those in their lives who fear snakes). ----- Linda Hedgpeth
