It is a very common species so i see no harm in him removing the specimen from the environment. I had a friend capture some toad tadpols and raise them with his son until the following spring at which time he release them. he found them to be very interesting. i will check what he did but i do know that he used kingsnake as a valuable sorce of info because he is the one that got me here.
