Dumeril's and Argentine boas can be shipped or transported across State lines without permits because CITES listing and Appendix classification only apply to international shipments between member nations. For movement within the United States, permits are only required for interstate transport of species listed under the US Endangered Species Act regardless of CITES listing. This is why permits are needed within the U.S. for species such as Indian pythons and Indigo's and not for Dumerils or Argentines, even though all are Appendix I.
