I also feed my baby Surinams every 12 to 14 days. One must subdue the urge to overfeed both by too large of an item AND from feeding too frequently, even of smaller items. Especially when someone has one animal that they treasure, it seems that these people tend to want to feed, feed, and feed more.
Boas are FAR more easily overfed by our urges than underfed. More is not better. Fight the urge to overfeed and you will likely have an animal that rewards you by not gurging.
As babies, it is true, as a general rule, that Surinam BCC are MUCH MORE sensitive to both handling and heavier feeding as well as environmental stresses like having multiple cage mates.
My Peruvian BCC have seemed to NOT be as sensitive to these factors as the Surinams though.
