RE: metal or plastic?

Crickets will definitely chew through fiberglass, even little crix. I built several cages with fiberglass screen a year ago and either the sun has caused premature desintegration or the mild bleach dilution I use has, b/c every cage has to be re-screened with metal screen pretty soon.



I do find that some chams will abrade their snouts on the metal screen if they tend to lick water droplets off the screen (vs plant leaves). So for those chams I always make it a point to spray only the foliage, to minimize the chances of abrasions.
