Color variations in Jacksons are due to genetics and stress. In general they will turn black or a mixture of black and their normal coloration when under stress. There is also a red phase Jackson that originated in the Hawaiian wild population, but this red phase only manifests itself in the females. Sometimes it shows up in males, but slowly fades at about 6 months I believe. | ||
