Dear Newbie,
You should utilize the Rainbow Boa Forum, its dead over there we need some action! In reguards to your question i think i can help some. Brazilian Rainbow Boas aka. BRB's usually cost between 100-200 dollars, with 135-175 being the average market price (Dont hold me to that guestimate). BRB's will grow to be from 5-7.5 ft, the females are larger and even then they rarely grow to over 7 feet. BRB's have more demanding husbandry requirements. These are tropical snakes and enjoy much cooler temps than your ball, 70 on the low side to 80 on the high side. Usually each snake is different and you must work with your snake to get its gradient precise. BRB's must be in at least 70% humidity, mine stays about 80. Theses snakes can dehydrate and die quickly if the temp is too high and humidity too low.

BRB babies tend to strike at most anything that moves. However most people, inculding myself, will tell you that with regualr gentle handling that the snakes calm down and make great docile pets.

All thought a bit more demanding than my ball python, i find BRB are much more rewarding to keep. Their colors and patterns are just exquisite. I highly recommend you
