i am not an expert but have kept and bred a 1.3 colony of jacksons in a large free range setup so i might be able to offer some helpful advice.

first the more hide spots/coverage the better. you want to make sure not only the females can get away from the male but that there are multiple places that each animal can seek refuge. (my setup consisted of six individually potted six foot ficus trees.) second you also want to make sure that you have multiple basking spots other wise you may run into problems with females being scared of the male and not being able to bask. the same goes for feeding and water, multiple access for each.

lastly your chameleons will let you know how things are going so observe them well. if you see any individual displaying dark colors for extended periods of time (asside from basking as many chameleons will do this to better absorb heat) or if you see agression among cagemates then i would suggest that you figure out which of the second step you are not providing enough of or to seperate the male as he is most likely going to be the cause of stress to the females.

good luck as i know many people are very avid about not keeping males and females together but this is what has worked for me.
