You can either put it in your cage or you can go to home depot and get pvc connectors and tubing (either pvc tubing or heat/duct tubing) and run it from the humidifer to your cage, that way you can keep the humidifier outside of the cage. I have 2 humidifiers connected to each other through one tube and connected to 4 cages. The "animal" room I have them in gets pretty humid and this works well with mine.
