I have heard of ball pythons laying 1 egg then a day or 2 later laying the rest of the clutch, but I never heard of a boa constrictor doing this.
OK here is the scenario, Thursday the 28th I see her drop her pre-birth waxy stool late in the afternoon. Late Saturday night the 30th about 2:30am I find her curled up in her cage with a single newborn, & no other sign that she just gave birth (no waste, no slugs, or even much residue.) The neonate was alittle pre-mature but seems to be doing alright otherwise. Today Sunday the 1st is exactly 100 days after her POS, & still nothing.
Should I believe that she just drop one early & will drop the rest of the litter or is there something more going on here?
I am at a lost right now & would appreciate any knowledgeable input. I almost forgot the female is 5 years old almost 7 foot & this is her 2nd litter, last year she had 21.
Thanks, Jason.
