The under tank heater shouldn't really add that much heat to your environment. You should be able to put your hand on it. (it will be hot...but not burning).



heat rocks on the ohter hand do get dangerously hot.



UTH is the best way to go. In fact, Ive never heard of anyone saying thier dragon was burned with one.
