RE: again, sexing my crested

Do some males have smaller bulges than others, and the converse about females? I have a 24g crested, that I had separated from a group of other juvies, thinking it was going to be a male a couple of months ago. Well needless to say, it has been packing on the weight, but the bulge is still just noticeable from a lateral view. I will try and post pics later, but have any of you experienced this?
