Top quality, absolutely no question, and healthy, not a skinny, dehydrated sick one at all. Sounds like it was scared right out of the bag. When they sent me Sobek she climbed out nice and warm and calm, climbed around very curious and friendly creature from the start.
The blackthroats Pro exotics sell except when they hatch CBB babies themselves or buy them from a breeder now are all imports, but they have a great start and someone who knows how to get them started off right and getting used to people.
At 16 inches total Sobek was eating adult mice, 1-2 a day, 50 to 60 or more crickets a day, many discoid roaches, and day old quails. I didnt bother with useless food that is for people, or dog food, or cat food, but tried some Zupreem monitor canned food, made no difference, and she lost interest in it after a few weeks. I fed her every day for her first year, they grow fast and put food down like it just disappeared.
This pic was taken 2 weeks after getting her, she had already grown 4 inches in that time. She was tiny, especially compared to now.
