Each set of twins was the same sex. That can be a clue but not neccesarily. They have to share the same yolk to be identical. At times there can be essentially two eggs (two yolks) that end up shelled into one egg. Those would produce fraternal twins.

But even identical twins do not have the same pattern like most would think.
