Misting The Snake

Whenever I go to mist the cage, I also mist my snake, however, she gets very frightened and backs away and hides under pieces of wood, or whateve she's near. When she's on top of her tree, she backs so far that she almost falls off the branch. I don't know whether to keep on misting her, or leave her alone. Any suggestions? Thanks for the help.
