I think it is a natural response to the water (which tends to give a chill) my snakes do the same thing but every once in while (more when they are going into shed) I catch them drinking the water that I spray at them. (I use warm water when misting now). I would keep on misting them too, it helps wash off any feeces they may have crawled threw before you got a chance to clean it out.
