Posted by: carrotfairy73 at Wed May 18 14:36:16 2005 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by carrotfairy73 ] do you mean those big ol outdoor halogen lights? if that IS what you mean yes i use one in chloe and z's cage. well actually i bought a fixture with a ceramic base and then hung the light over the cage. i have a 100 gallon aquarium with a big screen top. it hangs about 15 inches from the top and then i have a branch at an angle in the cage where they can get anywhere from 24 to 30 inches away from the light cause it does get HOT. but they love it and it keeps the cage a good temp....now with the weather changing and summer approaching i'm going to switch back to a 100 watt bulb because that would just be too much for them. they are in my front room in my house and that room gets no air conditioning (unless i open the door to it if they get too hot). i hope this big ramblefest has answered your question...hahaha | ||
