If their feed card indicates that they are fed once a week then you can try feeding them. Some balls aren't very affected by shipping and will continue their feeding schedule, but others require some downtime after shipping before feeding. For the ones that are due for a meal when they arrive, I usually give them a day or two to settle in and then offer them a meal. Hope this helps.
