hello, congrats on your new ball! i'm no expert, but i did recently acquire a baby ball. i waited until the little guy was hungry enough to cruise around his cage even with me being in the room and near his cage. this happened after around 5 days. when i did open his cage to feed him, he moved towards me and didn't hiss or ball up and immediately took a f/t hopper mouse. today he was hunting around again (3 days after eating the hopper) and nabbed a small, prekilled adult mouse within seconds of my holding it in front of his nose. then he went back into his hide.

i think one key for me was to provide two very tight, very dark hides. the snake hides whenever he notices me in the room, then he re-emerges after a few minutes. now he's getting comfortable exploring with me in the room, even during the day.

hope this helps!
bruce
