Peat Moss as Incubation Substrate?

Is Peat Moss ok to use as an incubation substrate? I know it holds humidity well, but is there anything about it that wouldn't be good to use for egg incubation? Is it too acidic or anything like that? Any thoughts would be helpful. Thanks in advance!
