An observation

As I've stated many times, I have a ball python that is an eating machine. He has NO issues eating any rodent I drop in there, and he has no issues switching back and forth between mice and rats.

Now, my observation.



Generally, if they have small rats at Petco, I will get that. If not, I get him 3 medium mice.

I've noticed that not only is he growing fast (dues to rats)

but he is also a lean/mean muscular snake (due to the mice)



I think the combination of rats/mice keeps him at just the right amount of fat intake.
