This just happened to my male chuckwalla about a month ago, late on a friday night, could not find any Vets who were in or would take him until Monday !
I also remembered the sugar water bath, I held him in the sink in coolish water for ONE hour, it also looked like your pic afterwards. I did not have high hopes.
But we went and bought KY jelly and I squirted it all over down there to keep the tissue moist. I took everything out of his tank, except a bath towel, put him to bed. But every few hours until 2am I re-squirted the KYjelly on him.
It looked a bit smaller when I went to bed. By 8 -9 the next morning I went in to turn lights on, and looked at him to find it had gone back in. I was estatic to say the least.
Its alwasy a great idea to keep KY Jelly in your lizard medicine cabinet, LOL It works wonders on keeping the tissue moist, until you could see a vet!
I wish your guy the very best! ----- PHEve/ Eve
