I have bought a male and 3 females for my breeding group. All are healthy and big dragons. We in england are in breeding season now and i am hoping for some nice coloured babies this year but they havent yet become gravid. I have just been feeding them and i caught my male trying to breed with one of the females which is quite large. He grabbed the neck and started trying to position himself and get underneith but he didnt quite make it. He rolled up in a ball on the viv floor with his penis out and went stiff for about a minute which scared me. It looked like he thought he had done everything right bless him. Anyway he finally put his penis away and went about his business as usual as if nothing had happened.

I want to know if this is a sign that i will have babies soon or does it mean my females arent ready? She didnt run away but she didnt really do much to help the poor lad. Can anyone give me as much imformation as poss on breeding scheduals and how long females are in season and how many times a year males and females are in season etc....
