I've been too derned busy lately to post anything. I have checked in briefly to see pics for a few seconds, and then had to go. Much of my time lately has been occupied by this red headed fellow. This young fellow is Halynov In Gold...aka...Sunny. He isn't groomed in these pics, and in fact, is dirty and scruffy, but we needed to check a mare at my friend's place and I decided to snap a few pics. Just on the other side of the fence is the gorgeous filly and he is showing off for her.

More showing off, trying to look very studly and very handsome. He is only 3 and, for a Russian Arabian, still a baby...so looking studly is interpretive.

This is quite impressive to the girls....trotting around with one's tail over one's back.

More trotting up and down the fence line. Is she noticing? Is she impressed??

What? She's not even noticing him and that makes him mad!!! Now, he arches his neck, stomps his feet and squeals really loud!!! Darned females!! They just don't know a handsome guy when they see one

He's so funny. I brought them both home and turned them in together. She is really making him learn the meaning of patience. She is not in season yet and anytime he gets close, she backs her ears, swishes her tail, and trots away. He looks a little sad, but eventually his patience will pay off. For a young stallion, he is very sweet and mellow. He doesn't know it, but there are several other girls waiting in line for his "attentions".

For everyone who has wondered what's up with Jessica, my Hypo Monstertail.....

I believe something weird happened with her and I mistook the huge swelling she had for an ovulation, when in fact, it may have been caused by mature follicles bunched up and a recent rat digesting. I don't know. It's just a theory that was brought to my attention. What I do know is, she had a shed in March and another one in late April. I ultrasounded her the first of April and then again in late April. Her "ova" have gotten noticeably larger and they are all lined up down to the vent area. She looks gravid and has a lot of scale separation. I expect she could have slugs, however whatever is inside her, has gotten larger "around". So, hopefully something will happen someday soon either way I'll let you know....I'll either be really happy ....or totally bummed and in need of post trauma analysis and therapy.

Lastly, I have truly enjoyed everyone's pics. So many pretty boas....and not enough time to post on them all. It's really been a great season so far!! Congrats to all!!
