i said to myself i wasnt gonna get involved in this derma post buuuuuut i have a question. if this snake had no scales but DID have heat pits would every1 still be acting all hi strung about its supposedly "horrifying" mutation that it should die a hypothermic death from a freezer.THATS JUST SICK
also there are possible advantages ANNNNND disadvantages of having no scales it would be in my opinion that

POSITIVE ASPECTS
1. rubbing its body against sticks,rocks whatever could in fact remove external parasites like ticks and other parasites that wouldnt normally be able to be removed unless by us as snake keepers.
2. the better absorption of moisture, global warming is affecting EVERYTHING and we dont live in africa so whos to say that maybe the water is being depleted at a faster rate per year even after the rainy season for the area in which ball pythons are indiginous to.
3. again global warming is also affecting climate, is it possible that uv rays and heat from the sun could be absorbed at a better concentration to in turn make for better thermoregulation and energy levels after all we all know cold snakes are slow and sluggish.

NEGATIVE ASPECTS
1. sunburn how many snakes have been burned because they didnt know to get off off or away from the heat b4 they were seriosly burned
2. they can not move as diligantly there is more friction so the snake can not move as fast to get away from predators
3. it has no armor so a predator can inflict a more damaging blow to the animal

B4 ANYONE condemns any LIVING THING to die because of a not normally natural occurance we have to look to ourselves as humans and say in what part did humanity play in the demise or helping of this animals mutation over hundreds or thousands of years

I have been watching people go back and forth both positive and negative but this is a first for alllllll of us hell who knew that mold could be made into life saving medecine.Someone who kept an OPEN MIND

If im crazy let me know but this is my true feeling on this whole debate about THE DERMA BALL
