I just wanted to say thank you to everybody on the forum, I don't post often, but I check the forum everyday! I also wanted to let everyone know that yesterday was the fruition of my dreams! In 1997 I had 3,000lbs of steel dropped on my foot while working a summer job at one of my fathers steel mills! I ended up having three quarters of my foot amputated! It was almost a year and a half from the date of my injury to the time I took my first step in my prosthetic foot! The job in the steel mill was the only job I have every had that didn't involve animals or reptiles for that matter! At the time of the injury I had about 25 different snakes, mostly burms which unfortunately I had to sell or give away because I had nobody at the time to take care of them! In 2000 I met the woman who would later be my wife and six months into our relationship she got me a pair Hogg Island boas for my birthday! This fueled the fire, I had spent so much time wondering what I wanted to do with my life post amputation! In 2001 thanks to a pell grant I was able to purchase my first albino boa female and two het albino females one of which is the mother of this litter! I went through school and got my degree in Business Management! 2004 was the first year that I had a shot at producing albino boas, but due my wifes pregnancy with our son Matthew I was unable to spend as much time with my animals as I would have liked to and the results were squat! This year I had no excuses my females were over 36 months old it was time for something to happen! To make along story a little shorter this litter was the culmination of five years of nonstop work and that is why it is so meaningful to me! As a full time breeder sometimes you begin to second guess yourself and that breeds hate and distrust for your animals!I guess what I am really trying to say is patiences is a virtue and if your going to be successful in this business you better have a-lot of patience! Thanks once again to all who posted! I will post some pixs after there first sheds!
