Well maybe some people don't care about why people have snakes. But the question was asked and I think it is a good one. It is interesting to read all the answers. Personally I wouldn't want to buy a snake or any other animal from someone that was in it just for the money. But then that is just the way I feel and doesn't really mean dittly squat.

I have two ball pythons. I bought the first one for my son. Actually I made him pay for it. He was 11 yrs old and only got an allowance of $2.00 a week. It took a while but he paid for him. A year later I bought one for myself. Now we don't debate over who is gonna get to hold the snake.

We love the snakes and they are just our pets. No plans on breeding. We didn't get them to be cool. Although his friends think him mom is kind of cool for letting him have them.
