I have kept Caulker Cays for nearly two years now. I now own three but have kept five. They do tend to be very snappy and they hiss as loud as a large burm. I do not recommend them for beginning boa keepers. They also have a hard time with frozen thawed in my experience, usually too busy hissing at you to eat.
That being said, they are probably my favorite boas. They lose the attitude after about a year and become very docile. They are incredibly different from Colombians. My largest female is around two years old now and 22 inches long. I have another female that is the same age at 18 inches. My island boas are the coolest part of my collection, I would give up all of my morphs before they would go anywhere.
I am putting in a very bad picture of my first female.
