I rarely have a female that lays inverted when gravid. In fact, I have males and small females that often lay inverted, but never a gravid female. This year, however, is different. The weather has really messed up the breeding cycle. This year, I have several females that I suspect are gravid: non-feeding, cool-seeking, palpation that reveals lumps and the females are laying inverted. Some are quite "full" looking. The female in the pic below was completely inverted. She moved just before I could take the pic.
So, my question: At what point in the cycle does laying inverted normally occur? Laying inverted
