My single experience with a WC Florida Spinytail was not a good one but had a satisfactory ending. I had the animal for 6 months and she was not acclimating at all. She'd finally start eating and then after a cage cleaning, or even just a water change, she'd stress and not eat for several days. I rarely saw her bask. I adopted her to a caring woman that treats her like a baby and she is doing well.



My suggestion would be to leave her alone to acclimate, doing only what is necessary to keep things clean and keep her fed and watered. Prevent any unneeded stress factors until she is eating well and you observe her basking during the daytime.



What are your plans for this Iguana? Do you plan on keeping her or releasing her when she is healthy? BTW, I enjoyed your website.
