>>Right now I am have a small aloe plant in my tank because it is considered very safe for all types of lizards. Does anyone know of any other safe plants that like arid conditions? I use ecoearth substrate, so it is easy to hide a planter so it looks nice.
I don't know which ARE safe, but have two things NOT to do:
1) DON'T use cactus, they can impale lizards, especially those which like to jump...
2) Be careful where you get your plants, they are a great way to transmit mites... (I got a plant from Home-Depot for my blue tongue skink, just days later she was COVERED in mites... She has since been treated, but I am now very wary of live plants in cages...)
