The high amount of UV is not necessary for survival but I swear the ones I raise with the 10.0 get better looking every day. The 5.0 is outdated so there is really no reason to consider it unless you wanna save 5 bucks. Also consider the compact flourescents, they also have an excellent UVB output. However the zoomed bulb is long and inconvenient in an incandesant fixture. The ESU 7% is the way to go with compacts. Last note...I do not recomend the Trex UV Heat at all, I have experienced problems with the life of the bulb and the UVB is not anything special. | ||
