You could fix up tank cage to retain more moisture. Just sela most of the top with foil or cellophane etc. Not much ventilation needed, but don't seal it all. My cages have 2" vent for ~ 6 cubic foot of cage for example. The towel is just letting the moisture out. May be good to still keep the towel to retain heat??
