Posted by: zennygirl at Mon Jun 6 23:34:50 2005 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by zennygirl ] i just acquired an eight month old tangerine honduran. i have had him for about a week (i know that's not long and he's still adjusting). i was told he was feeding on both frozen and live without any problem. i havn't handled him at all and after about four days i tried to lay a f/t pinky in his cage. he showed no interest so after about a half hour i took it out, oh but not before jingling it a little bit to entice him but freaked him out instead. three days later i tried to lay another one in there and he showed no interest again so i put him in a paper bag with it for a while but he didn't eat it. anyway, am i being way too impatient since he is still so new to me and relax? i've just always heard what great feeders they were so i got concerned. should i try live next time? should i wait longer than a few days like a week between feedings? or try a different way to offer. this is my first milksnake and first baby snake so i am uncertain. thanks ahead. | ||
