Crested Gecko newborns, good idea?

I have the oportunity to buy a newborn baby crested gecko. I was wondering if this is a bad idea. As long as I see the gecko eat, and see that it's healthy, should that be enough? Is there anything special I should do to take care of such a young gecko? Things like:

-how much food and how often?

-is the 20 gallon tank that I have fine for such a young gecko?
