WTVJ (Miramar, Florida) 08 June 05 Man Bitten By Deadly Green Mamba Snake

Homestead, Florida: Members of the Miami-Dade County anti-venom team treated a snakebite victim at Homestead Hospital Wednesday morning.

Officials said the male victim, in his 50s, was bitten by a green mamba that was in his possession.

Experts said the snake is similar to a cobra and its bite can be deadly.

The man showed up at the hospital early Wednesday morning after being taken there by friends.

His condition is not known.
