what do you use for a hide?

I will be setting up Darwin's new tank and need to give him a larger hide (he's already poking out one end of the one he has! lol!). I have a piece of curled corkbark I can use but it is currently a basking location. I know I can buy the usual hides, but looking for any other, unique suggestions. Will he use a large clay pot turned on its side?
