should i buy a beardie that suffered from terminal impaction?

my boyfriend just told me that his friend that has 3 beardies wants to get rid of one that "had something wrong with his back legs". i helped him identify the problem and it was terminal impaction. the beardie passed the food but still doesn't use his legs much. it happened a few months ago. they were born january 1st so they are about 6 months old. i'm thinking since he got this far he might be ok. i don't mind, im always getting rescues. i just don't want someone careless to get it. plz help me. thanks =)
