Frogs like moisture because a frog with intact skin looses water almost as quickly as skinless frogs. Therefore they like high humidity, which should be adequate if your subtrate is damp, and they must have a large water saucer, which they can get in a out easily, for them to soak and deficate in. The water level should be at nostril hieght. Ventalation is also very important. High humidity and stagnant air is a breeding ground for germs, which can cause red legs, and fungus infection. Make sure you do a very good spot cleaning and change the substrate when ever you think it needs to be changed. And because they looses water very quickly the temp. should be to high...78-82 degree is adequate. Higher temp. can desacate a frog easily. You can use heat lamp for heating or undertank heating pad. You can add other decoration if you like but it will not be appreciated by your pac-man and I heard they will dig up plants. Really they like to burry themselves in the subtrate with only they eyes poking out. I think the your silver dollar size could be fed every three days variety of dusted inverts with fish thrown in like every month or so for variety. When it's full grown they only need to be fed once a week and you can throw in an appropriate size mouse or fish once a month or every other month for varieties. | ||
