the term Dwarf boa's mainly describe the central Americans although their are a few other's. My experience with central's is that their a very hardy boa that do well in captivety and do not have any special requirements. they seem to be growing in popularity in my opinion because of their hardy nature, smaller size, highly variable apperance and affordability when in season you can get a farm bred Nicaraguan for about $50 or you can go all the way up to $1000 for a type 2 anery or a hypo. they are said to be very easy to breed, I will hopefully find this out for myself soon as my Nicaraguan group is at the 3 year mark now. The one thing I've found with centrals is they do require more handleing to tame them, I never spent time additional time with my Nicaraguans so now 3 are handleable and 3 you need a glove. Dispite that I realy like them and have added to my collection a pair of Costa Rican's and more recently a trio of Hondurans. hope this help's and if I can do this correctly I'll post a pic of my hypo Nic.
