Well, back in the 90s, I had a large collection of Peruvians and have had more one on one work with them than any other locality. I can tell you this; " Peruvians, get no bigger than Surinames or Guyanas or Brazilians or even Argentines ect. " Being big is simply in the genes and or how often they are fed.I had 10yr old females that were less than 6ft and some that were 9-10ft and over 60 pounds. The same with other localities that I have and work with.If you would like for your Peruvian, to live a long life, feed it moderately. If it is already an adult, there is no reason to feed it but every 3 or even four weeks. It will maintain good weight and even more important, good muscle tone. As far as listening to all the hoopla about what locality of B.C.C. gets the largest, just remember that it is in fact hoopla or B.S.There is only one " boa " that can boast bragging rights on being the largest and that is the Anaconda. Different species yes, but still considered a Boa per-say........Johnson Herp
